OABH Needs You!

We welcome you and your local board to join the Ohio Association of Boards of Health, and we look forward to helping you serve your community.

OABH is also looking for leaders who would like to represent their districts by joining our OABH board.

Our organization has two categories of membership

Current members of a board of health that hold membership in OABH: There is an annual flat fee for the entire board. Current members are voting members. Voting members shall be eligible to serve as officers and directors and have all the other responsibilities of the association’s membership.

Associate Members: Former members of a board of health who are committed to the association’s goals and purposes. Associate members shall have all the responsibilities and privileges of voting members except they may not serve as officers on the Board of Directors.

Are you interested in being on the Board for OABH?

We are looking for Board of Health members from each of our state regions in Ohio.

The OABH Board of Directors is made up of:

President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and Immediate Past President
Five Directors aligned with the Ohio Department of Health five state regions (Northwest, Northeast, Central, Southwest, and Southeast)
Five Directors serving at large

We meet via Zoom monthly on the last Thursday of the month at 6 pm Calls last about one hour. We also try to meet in person on a quarterly basis, meeting at the Der Dutchman Restaurant in Plain City at 1 pm on a Saturday. If we meet in person, we usually do not have the monthly Zoom call.
